I have some seeds that I want to plant and now is the time! I have chosen this area behind my cute little shed to create a new flower bed.

I sprayed the grass last fall and so it was very easy to take out the dead grass just by slightly loosing the soil.
Next I added compost from my compost pile.
Then I transplanted three clumps of bee balm from my herb bed to here.
I brought a clump of pink bee balm from my mama’s last year and I also bought 2 pots of red from Lowe’s last year. I had planted them in the herb bed as a temporary solution until I got my new flower bed ready.
I had also brought home some tiger lily seeds from my sisters yard and I planted those here too.
This is a picture I took of Mama’s bee balm and I just LOVE the pink. I am so anxious for spring and for this bed to show off! Our honey bees will appreciate this addition to our yard, I am sure.
Have you ever grown Bee Balm?
