Do you love watching butterflies flit and flirt around the yard? It is really not difficult to attract butterflies to your backyard, you just need to know a few facts!
Butterflies love sunshine. If you decide to create a dedicated habitat for butterflies, it will need to be in a sunny location.
Butterflies need nectar. Plant a variety of blooming plants so that there is something blooming from spring until fall.

Caterpillars will need food too and there are a variety of host plants that appeal to them.

Butterflies cannot drink from fountains or birdbaths. They get their water from mud puddles! They also get mineral nutrients from puddles.
